Today March 24 was designated by the Labour Court No. 5 of Bilbao as the day he was to hold the trial in the lawsuit filed by the service TRANSPORT HORIZONTAL connected to the loading and unloading of ships.

From Bilbao we have asked the court an adjournment (Open Document) due to the commitment made by all parties to try to reach a satisfactory agreement in performing this service port Transportation Horizontal.
The judge us yet has reported the new trial date. Once we are notified we will let you know.
The reason that has led us to request this deferral is the next
At the initiative of one of the transport companies, we requested a meeting to Bilbao and stowage UGT which met on 4 March, the company promised to try to convene a meeting on the following days in which all parties were present to try to reach an agreement to avoid trial.
On March 14 we convened a meeting attended by all affected parties except demand Coordinator of the union, but knew those present the reason why they had not gone despite having been summoned.
After explaining the reasons which had led us to this lawsuit (including the absence of interest from the last meeting of the Bureau of Transport in February 2010) our request at this meeting was that it constituted negotiating table to resolve the conflict of horizontal transport service and setting to schedule meetings for that purpose.
With this, UGT Loading Bilbao, committed ourselves to seek an adjournment without ruling on the basis of rigorous, seriousness and progress in meetings permanently withdraw the lawsuit.
On behalf of the respondents expressed interest in reaching agreement but requested the permanent withdrawal of the lawsuit to proceed.
In this scenario, without reaching any agreement it was decided to convene a further meeting at which one of the defendants undertook to convince Coordinator to attend this new meeting and avoid having to enter the Judgement.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 22 March (in the absence of two days for trial). In this new edition came, this time, all parties in the lawsuit and the other port stevedoring companies also were called Bilbao.

This meeting clarified once all the positions and heard all parties agreed to set a new date (April 5) in which start negotiating for a possible AGREEMENT conflict in the horizontal transport associated with loading and unloading of ships.
In this scenario, despite the insistence that withdraws the Lawsuit our decision has been to request an Adjournment so because:
- The decision to withdraw the demand is for members of UGT in the port and there was no time material to Assembly in which to raise this request.
- Our Legal Services recommended to us, given the short time remaining for the trial date, request deferment instead of withdrawing the lawsuit.
- We have the assurance that the meetings will be taken seriously and not serve to pass the time.
Now, once we have achieved with this demand that will have the negotiating table, is everyone's job to take seriously this open conflict for years and be able to reach satisfactory agreements for all parties.
UGT On behalf of Bilbao Stowage not say that we have not tried.
