Kate Playground Movie 2009

Jack Sparrow, a sailor on the seas of fate.

Jack Sparrow sails again. Freed from the company Orlando Bloom and Knightley Keyra , the quirky and irreverent pirate the big screen embarks on a new adventure, looking for the fountain of youth, this time from the hand of English actress Penelope Cruz .
We know that in Hollywood not in favor of killing the goose that lays the golden eggs ahead of time, so even before the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007), series creator arose as to continue the adventures of Captain Sparrow. It was then that the writers of the trilogy, Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio , discovered an old novel by Tim Powers entitled In strange tides (1987), and set a similar theme - more or less - at the same time as the movies. More specifically, in 1718 when Blackbeard, one of the last pirates who fought the reign of King George, terrorized the Caribbean coast. Navigating
against their will so bad company is John Chandagnac, bookkeeper and puppeteer. Nobody would take it for a good candidate to pirate or dark machinations of sorcery. But a drunken pirate Captain Jack Shandy renamed and can become one of the most important ...
After reading the novel producers rushed to buy the rights to it before even finished filming the third part of the series, hence the open end and the references to Jack Sparrow set out in search of the source eternal youth, on a trip in which he and his new crew will face mermaids, zombies and Blackbeard himself, the pirate who fear the pirates. As we see, the novel keeps many parallels with the films (even in the name of the protagonist) and although it can be assumed that the adaptation is very free, it is very difficult to make a bad script from a material as good as this.
A title personal On Stranger Tides is one of my favorite books and possibly the best Tim Powers, which are big words is the author of The Anubis Gates or strength of his gaze . But I love the adventurous spirit that permeates every page and the author's ability to interpret the key fantastic story, recreating the past as it never was, but we would have liked. The result of that passion was the article "Tim Powers: On Stranger Tides Sailor" I wrote in 2005 yearned for Solaris magazine, the Factory of Ideas, at the time that Alberto García-Teresa was editor of it. Alberto was the dream of every writer: a professional who respected your work while good ideas which enriched the final result. I learned a lot and thanks to him, and while my mistakes and shortcomings are mine and mine only, I like to think of something good in the work of Alejandro Caveda is to his credit (and some other people that also appoint in due course). So I want to spend the next entry of the souks where you do an update of that article which, to this day, remains my favorite among all I have written. So goes for you, Alberto , and also by tod @ s you: for being there and support me along the way all these years ...

Buck Rogers in Prospective

As usual, leave here the direct link to my most recent collaboration Foresight (the eighth and, as time passes!), which this time concerns the in comic reboot of the character of Buck Rogers developed by Scott Beatty and Carlos Rafael for Dynamite American publisher, and published in Spain by Planeta Comics. For the clueless, Rogers was created in 1929 by writer Philip Nowlan in the story "Armageddon 2429" and its sequel, "The Airlords of Han", and to be a venerable octogenarian, enjoying good health and back in twenty-first century to show that the old heroes never die while they are new - And good - adventures that star. To learn more, you can check the review on the website of Prospective Literature. As always, I am aware of your critical comments and suggestions.

"Future Shock" Buck Rogers by Alejandro Caveda

Well, for now we will focus on making a detailed look at the life and work of writer Tim Powers , taking advantage of the release of the next installment in the saga Pirates of the Caribbean, starring Johnny Depp and freely adapted In the novel mysterious coasts (1987) of the above writer, a review will take us the next few weeks, after which we have pending a new review of the Grant Morrison Batman , an article devoted to the series Vampire Tales of David Wellington , one focused on the reissue of Dylan Dog Sclavi Tzian by Aleta, in addition to new releases of A bad place to miss (though not necessarily in that order). Warm greetings and keep in touch. See you soon!

They clearly had it. It came in gang. They knew that the fighting was severe, not violent, profound. He was a key day. Prepared their militias. They were warned ... "something will be done." It was certainly not the informants were wrong. But all you wanted to do was say the word itself. But even that tolerate. They began with shouts, boos and shameful manner, used the Lord's Prayer and the Hail Mary recited loudly smartly, to try to silence the home owners, the community of La Cripta I just wanted to heard.

were wise as serpents, as recommended by Jesus to his disciples. Like snakes were poisonous and that Jesus is not recommended. We were harmless as doves, as recommended by Jesus also. But that was pretty naive and a mistake.

They have all the institutional power and made him. Several months ago just want to talk to Carlos Ñáñez the pastor of the Archdiocese on the profile of Victor Acha successor, the outgoing pastor. How hard is that the authority take into account the criteria of a community when choosing a priest who will be responsible for that community? We are not talking to "democratize" the mechanisms for appointing the heads of the parishes, that would be dreaming too, only wanted to be part in the nomination process. This, the Crypt asked, begged and demanded the end of his pastor and his staff, should be standard practice, nothing extraordinary. It is not. Quite the contrary. Institutional power does not dialogue, dictates.

They stayed with the bricks of the vault, as did noted Quito Mariani and so crude, disrespectful, rude, screaming silence him with bulging of arbitrariness. But it may be ever with her breath. Were left with the masquerade institutions. Can not ever get to blow. We do not deny the importance the physical location. We are aware that breath and that breath must somehow materialize, for everyone still living that church "other" and ask where are they, when they meet, where we celebrated, where we are, how we look, how "we walking. " Should be for us a challenge irrevocable offer answers.

"The Crypt is not negotiable, the Crypt is not delivered" slogans absolutely valid. The Crypt is an icon of the church of the poor. Is the "place" where the Great Spirit will invade our bodies and hearts. The Vatican whim of wiping out all vestiges of this church-based, popular, freeing, fraternal has no future. That same day, Benedict XVI Pope John Paul II beatified. An attempt to discipline the wayward. It will be useless. And were told in the Gospel ... "if they are silent, the stones will cry." We

naive. Try not more so. Tame if also clever.

What Do Jelly Rings Mean

Crypt - Crypt - COMMUNITY

Dear friends, I come to express my feelings about what happened last night. Much water has flowed since the night last night until this morning, at my house. I tell you this because I was sad and entered the night with great silence, all seemed to collapse and I was unable to step earth after the experience.

How difficult is that people change their mentality. In the crypt was this. I recently saw, but I listened and was attentive to what they said, the gestures and attitudes of the people who were near me.

Then when it ended (for us ...), Daniel and I went to dinner at a place known: Lomitos 348. After a long time, we realized that it was Carlos Ñañez accompanied by two men. We looked and felt we had to say something, Daniel could not contain the urge to express disagreement and came to the table of the Lord. We do not record what Daniel said at the time, because we were very tense ... but I can remember something like this: "... I was participating in the crypt of that meeting and after seeing what happened there, I'm embarrassed by what is happening in the church in Cordoba, I'm having dinner with my family and for fifteen minutes I am thinking about coming to say what I feel ... I understand it is not easy to make a decision and that you and I are men with the right to be wrong, but the measure taken should ponder a bit more and I as a Catholic and Cordoba I feel so embarrassed ... You should review what you are doing ... "At first Ñañez

was unfazed, but then he could see Daniel and got a little nervous when understood that the disagreement was the reason for their approach.

Today, I just received and read the mails, whose message I want to share with you all because I think it is good for the occasion, I adhere to the thought of this man, Joseph Arredondo that can help us continue to think together and continue creating what continue this way of being church and not be scattered like lost sheep.

A brotherly hug and hopeful. Adriana Sarmiento

Easter Mira José Arregui, theologian

El Blog de José Arregui They were to announce a rabbi who had come to the Kingdom of God. The rabbi opened the window, leaned out and said: "Not true, I do not see anything has changed." What he saw was contrary to the presence of the Kingdom, and is difficult to refute what meets the eye. But does the rabbi saw everything? Another rabbi, opening the window and looking out, could have said: "It is true, has already arrived. Behold the Kingdom. The fields are green, the birds breed, children play, the heart goes, the poor are raised, the wounds heal, forgive enemies. For the kingdom of God. My own eyes see it. "
We would like the second rabbi was right, and the pessimism of the former was nothing more than a defect vision. However, since our regret, we understand all too well the skepticism of the former, it is written that when the Kingdom, the tears disappear. But the tears are gone, and sometimes one has the impression that, on the contrary, the ocean of tears and bitterness does nothing but grow. There are too scared and error, deception and theft too, too much violence and hunger, war is the worst hunger-gleefully confessing that God is and say Amen and celebrate the Passover, celebrate Life.
Given the size of the passion of the world, the believer's faith can not but take time to grieve, all the time it takes before exclaimed the third day, as Mary of Magdala: "Rabbuni, master." On the third day, not later than forty-eight hours, but at any moment, "the crucial moment-when the eyes open. In the Bible there are dozens of events happening "on the third day": the moment beyond time and nearer, we see and palpate that God is the beating heart of the world and that it is already different from what we see that the Kingdom is already present, that Easter dawns that life resurrects whenever it is delivered.
That is the "third day", which is any day, but only if it is. Easter did not happen once, for two thousand years. Increasingly, life reborn, life and rebirth is constantly before our eyes. There are only looking at the spring. Precisely, Easter was originally a spring festival twice: a farmers' party celebrating the new harvest, the new yeast, the new bread, and other pastors party celebrating the multiplication of herds and the lambs playing in the grasslands. Then together the two parties and the party of the nature became party ever, a sacrament of all past and future releases. Each spring full moon announced that the light shines and the night, releasing its way, Easter is through death and their grief. The moon is eye-opening.
But the eyes do not always see. And even when they see, doubt and grief can never disappear until you wipe the last tear, the doubt and grief not only precede but also accompany and follow the confession of the believer, believer and most visionary that is, or precisely because it is. The true faith of the disciple, as the follower, Mary, is humble and sober, restrained. "I do not hold back. Never wants to own. Crosses, walk, go on. See also tears accompany your brothers. " Keep looking and feeling the wounds the wounds, and at the bottom of the tomb, at the bottom of the wounds ... let your eyes look at other sweet eyes full of comfort watching you from beyond the bottom and let the heart give up and rest and lips, insecure and confident, saying simply: "My Lord and my God." And believes without seeing, or is just to believe.
It's true that what is essential is invisible to the eye, but truth is still our eyes are made to see the invisible and only see it when the heart's illuminated from within and from without, yes, from within and from outside . Real thing is invisible, and our eyes are made to see the light of heart. Or the light of faith, or the light of compassion, or the light of hope against hope, call it what you want. With our eyes we see the invisible life in the stem that blooms, tenderness and pain in the eyes looking at us, magic and wonder in the solo flute.
This is how they saw - how else could see? - The Risen Mary in the garden of the tomb at sunrise, Cleopas and his companion and partner - at the Inn at Emmaus in the evening. Not risen Jesus appeared to them otherwise than as appears to us. What happens is that, in Jesus' time, between Jews and Greeks, were abundant stories of apparitions of the living dead, and they also have the Gospels, but today no one can believe such stories to the letter, including those of the gospels. And what would we think that Jesus, for some reasons that are not even in the Gospels, but have made us, he appeared to them in a unique way, "miraculous"? What we call "miracle"? Miracle is not extraordinary, let alone an event that breaks the laws of nature that nobody knows, by God's will "that no one should presume to know. We can not believe in such miracles. But every being is a miracle, if we look, so we see it: as an epiphany of Easter.
Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene and her companions, but as it appears the life and beauty, pain and tenderness, as are "unwanted eyes I have in my heart drawn." Jesus appeared to them and appears to us as we love the dead appear in the notes and the Heart of God, they are the same. As God appears to us, tenderness and beauty invisible and real, the heart of all reality.
The heart has desires that are not of disdain, if not despair, we want to invade us, that all miracles disappear and that this wonderful world becomes dark and painful. The heart has reasons that reason has to understand. The heart has lights that have open eyes. It is good that the eyes are no longer illuminated by the heart to see the Kingdom, Easter, the crucified living, suffering and resurrecting God in the darkness of all the crosses.
One day, after many days of mourning, Maria and her companions saw that the tomb was empty, all the slabs were not sufficient to stall the release Reign of God and Jesus had announced early in his life, and even on his cross . No need to open the grave, and he needed to disappear from the dead body of Jesus.
How could they open a grave, if it was profane? And what was used to embalm a corpse on the third day, if it was corrupted? Easter faith has nothing to do with such physical events. Easter faith is that illuminates the heart eyes to see that God is always the life company, especially when crucified, that life is transformed forever when it happens, that Easter is already here, even as a seed, like yeast, as the first sheaf. And that "worth dying for Life" (Mercedes Navarro).
Friend, friend, I wish that every day you open the window and exclaim, "Oh! United has arrived. " And, if it is night, you lie quiet because it has already come, and if it's day, you put on your way to getting it. José Arregui

PD. In the next two weeks will not write (for "agenda reasons", as they say). That ye holy peace of Jesus, the living among the living.

To pray.
"Do not give up"
not give up, there's still time

Bury your fears, Free

Resume flight.
not give up that life is that,

Pursue your dreams, Unlock

Running the rubble,
and uncover the sky.
not give up, please do not give in,
Although the cold burn, bite
Although fear,
Although the sun goes down, shut
And the wind
There is still fire in your soul Even
there is life in your dreams.
Because life is yours and yours also the desire
Because you wanted to and because I love
Because there is wine and love, is true.
Because there is no cure wounds that time.
Open the doors,
Remove the bolts,
Leaving the walls to protect you,
live life and accept the challenge,
Lost laughter,
Rehearsing a song,
guard down and extend the hands

wings Expand I try again,
Celebrate life and return to heaven.
not give up, please do not give in,
Although the cold burn, bite
Although fear,
Although the sun goes down and shut the wind, yet there
fire in your soul,
There is still life in your dreams
Because every day is a new start
Because this is the time and the best time.
Because you are not alone, because I love you

Who needs John Paul II a saint?

A further attempt to discipline

"... the strength and tenacity with which he defended and proclaimed the indissoluble link between the Church and Christ integrity of Catholic doctrine "[1]

Here's the problem. John Paul II does not distinguish between church and Christ. That means "an indissoluble bond." And this "link" defended his "strength" and "tenacity." So no wonder, with this identification, including "the integrity of Catholic doctrine." Nothing to discuss, nothing to ponder, nothing to see, nothing to say, nothing to criticize, nothing to refute, nothing to think ... just obey, preserve and defend Catholic doctrine. So the warnings, prosecutions, prohibitions, censure and condemnation to all and all those who dare only to "think different" from the "integrity of the doctrine." This position is a way to understand the Church, a church model.

The "canonization" of Pope John Paul II only aim to strengthen this church model is a strong attempt to keep discipline and order inside. It is about strengthening the Roman model, centered, dogmatic, closed. And, as cracks appear everywhere in this model, because "the Spirit blows where and how you want" and not kidnapped by the Vatican, you need a strong sign, a figure which in itself legitimizes this conception of the Church.

John Paul II is not exactly a "saint" of Vatican II. Much less a "saint" of the impoverished. In Latin America know all too well. John Paul II, in line with, then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, insisted to detract, warn, correct, criticize and stigmatize the "liberation theology." Movement which, after Vatican II, was the "second great historical event of the twentieth century, opened the dialogue with the world of social and political, in the encounter with the poor and the historical praxis of social transformation. This theology also sparked an explosion of vitality and mystic, the greater the crowd manifestation of grassroots communities scattered around the world geography and a host of martyrs Jesuanic literally, on the model of Jesus "[2]. John Paul II is a saint of the order and discipline restoration.

Benedict XVI wants to have the pleasure to present to the whole world and all peoples of the world a way of living, thinking and feeling that must be followed. In short this is an "official saint" and that claims to be John Paul II canonized. And this "model" is no stranger to the vicissitudes of history. The "model" connotes not only "spiritual", but also ideological, political, social. Juan Pablo II "holy" is a hobble to bless, to consecrate a conception of "imperial" a closed conception of the Church and society. So said Mary Vigil: "The maximum error of the Catholic Church in the century has been the fear of the dynamics of life and historical recovery that Vatican II and liberation theology awake, afraid that crystallized in the election of John Paul II and his program brake and reverse. As they say González Faus, his pontificate has been in many respects the reign of fear, an attitude that still remains captive to Catholicism was not allowed to truly enter the "new millennium" [3].

Here, fear is a compact, monolithic Roman identity and the whole conservative ideology, restorative dominant. That fear is even greater under Benedict XVI's pontificate. And there is fear that is so conservative against a threat. It is fear of the arrogance of imperial power holders. The religious power is functional to the U.S. arrogant power, so nobody was surprised when George Bush and Benedict XVI, at the conclusion of his visit, gave a joint statement saying: "... spoke on various topics of common interest to the Holy See and the United States of America, including moral and religious issues in which both sides are committed "[4]. Both parties involved. So either we were amazed at the warm statements when he began the invasion of Libya, only after a couple of weeks, Benedict called for an end to military aggression.

Yet this spiritual battle for dominance is lost. For modern societies a saint but a saint in the calendar unless it is absolutely negligible. For the great majority of the poor as well. Only remnants of Vatican pomp. Have their echoes in local churches for a short time, bolstered by a media staging and not much else. The canonization will be a wasted effort by the Vatican power. We are in a time where we have come to believe otherwise. To believe disconnected from the institutional care and more detached when these guardianships are expressed in an authoritative manner, autocrat. We live in a new spirituality. "After centuries of living the experience of Christianity as" the only true religion "today, biodiversity, including the religious, is perceived as a sacred value that does not allow such exclusion. This new consciousness is already affecting the way we live and understand our spirituality and Christianity "[5].

Hundreds of thousands of followers of Jesus and many others of different religions and creeds, and living will continue to pursue this new spirituality. Expresses a spirituality that welcomes and is committed to freedom, plurality, diversity and a deep and profound humanism service the forgotten history. Nicolas

about JP II

"Here's the problem. John Paul II does not distinguish between church and Christ."

The only gospel (of the four we have) that puts into the mouth of Jesus the word church is Matthew,

We can say that Jesus does not talk about that topic,

De Jesus talks about what more is the KINGDOM ,
all remember that on the cross put up a sign that said "this is the king of the Jews"

The absence of the concept of the kingdom in the discourse and practice of the current Catholic leadership scares

There is a more or less recent anecdote that illustrates this point, Leonardo

Boof went to visit Cuba, Fidel made

service a vehicle and a driver with this slogan:
Leonardo, it crosses the island where you want, this soldier will take you where you will say,
several days after visiting the island meets with Fidel Leonardo, Leonardo

dressing ? Answer question
Fidel
Leonardo: I have not seen signs
church, I have not seen in the high crosses,
have not seen pictures in the squares, but if I

seen signs of the kingdom,
have not seen children begging,
elderly have not seen on the street, I saw

schools and hospitals have seen

COORDINATOR OF ITS OWN DAM LIES

From UGT, with the brochure, we have not done anything to help each and every one of the dock to go to the polls with the data in hand. We have simply taken a look at the last 4 years both state and local levels, listing the facts and giving our opinion, making clear which also has been our work during that period and what are our goals for the future. Since then we have not stopped to think if someone was going to be hurt or become the victim, because we understand that we all act in conscience and the collective good, so less theater and more union work.

Those who like to boast both majorities, will also assume the consequences of decisions made under them instead of blaming those who later branded as insignificant.

And by the way, for your information, triptych is made by various members of UGT Bilboestiba, they do not need anyone to come to write what they have experienced personally in the past year and a half.

And yes, we confirm in writing on it when we say that the Privatization, the Port Law, the failed IV Framework Agreement and the lack of firmness against the continuous attacks of the company are killing us slowly, but not so slowly as to not realize the day. To deny that is denying the evidence and it is foolhardy and negligent. Or open your eyes now, or when we do will be too late, with a disjointed group, tired, resigned and subdued.

and we speak of them as it does again Coordinator weakens us. A works active, involved and to defend all workers strengthens us. Decisions unilaterally weaken us, make us stronger in General Assembly. Conspiracy after reaching compromises shameful destroys us. The transparent, contrasting opinions and submission to the opinion of employees makes us invincible.

NO. The conflict created what some companies. We just chose our side, the side of the dock, while others either sided with the company or acted with surprising warmth.

By the way, we do not need parentheses to clarify what is our home.

I worth anything to justify your actions. comes so cheap I lie to your members and the rest of workers who have become commonplace not we import the consequences.

So we have to expose your lies

In the port of Pasajes, despite having majority UGT, discussed and decided at the General Assembly of all workers signing the ERE (accepted with only one dissenting vote) to reports in the news bulletin published by the COORDINATOR (Open news) . A redundancy that guarantees full pay and without having to put a single euro workers. This shows that we are consistent with issues affecting all Longshoremen at the port and therefore the proposals are decided as a whole General Assembly.

What you TRANSFENICA complains of is that you have not received ALL workers for the unilateral modification of working conditions. or not you had with your affiliate . No one disputes that do not want these ships, but to do it in a fair and clear and not capricious, incomprehensible and deregulation, in exchange for favors.

in any paragraph of the brochure say that Bilbao has been the only port "with a rise greater than the IPC" and accuse us of wanting to over blow it in the General Assembly. A demonstration of your lies and tyranny. In the General Assembly asked us what workers MOST was that we included 2011 in the extension of the agreement. But you were going to take notice. That it shows is that you sweat it what General Assembly Democratically decide . Remember that because of that Assembly were going to resign and did not do it all either.

your democracy to accept what is decided in your internal assemblies is at least also very curious. "Make as many assemblies as necessary until you leave what you propose."

horizontal transport the facts speak for themselves and each other's work is documented. We take it seriously while others do not take the initiative and let others do it. They seem bothered that a solution could be reached. Let no one doubt that if Coordinator had worked half of what it has done UGT the subject and would be solved, of course instead be devoted to putting stones on the road and using scatological phrases cynical to accuse others of cynicism. And when we tell others we refer to ALL parties have been those that have asked for the postponement of the trial, including COORDINATOR.

As you have been afraid, but what you ... What have you done to recover the Horizontal Transport? Where is your complaint?
Ours is decided on 8 September, if not reach an agreement satisfactory to all.

Finally we want to remind workers that voting SECRET and FREE . For the world press and let you vote in conscience. Remember to choose those who will have to defend and look out for your interests during the next four years.

Fool me once, yours is the guilt.

Fool me two, the fault is mine.

Dragonball Love Doujinshi

Five stories to keep you awake

"I'll show you terror in a handful of dust" THE SANDMAN

The shape is classic horror. Above fashions and fads, and evil that zombies and vampires despite post-adolescent hormones, those old stories of black and white terror that marked our childhood and youth are reluctant to die. Metro was the first to open fire with that longed library EC Horror Classics , which contained 15 deliveries in the three series that the editorial published on gender ( Tales from the Crypt, Vault of Horror and The Haunt of Fear ), which followed her younger sister (of only 8 issues) Classic Thriller, that although it was initially more oriented towards the mystery, had not a few points contact with its predecessor.
Metro has continued to operate through the reef as interesting as header files Creepy (chronological reissue of the legendary seventies Warren magazine from the Ommibus Dark Horse) or series of monographs House of Mystery presents ... , which compiles all the stories by some of the best artists that passed through the collection American or his twin sister, House of Secrets as Neal Adams, A lex or Toth Whrigthson Berni, among other famous names.
Another editorial that pointed to Cart Editions have been Diabolo , which to date has released two titles each more interesting: Strange Suspense (Files Ditko, Vol 1 , which we have already spoken in the souk, see the corresponding review here) and Four Color Fear, which offers readers nostalgic for a luxurious full-color selection of the best short stories of horror from the 50 mostly unheard of in our country.
This review would not be complete without remembering the collection Made in Hell Standard Editions, and in particular the three volumes (so far) that under the generic title Crimson Chronicles retrieved Warren classic stories starring the sexiest vampire comic. As we see, a whole range of titles and collections, showing that old terror, far from losing interest, is raising passions among both readers veterans as new generations discover in them an ability to shake it and believed lost forever .

Lupus Rash In Black People

My 10 essential

opened by Rodolfo Martínez and José Manuel Uria , here are my 10 essential titles, the 10 works that in one way or another I have set throughout my life. Like everything that has to do with taste, is very personal, and certainly more than one visitor had changed any of them, but in any case it is my choice and as such I offer.
The order chosen is purely chronological, as they were written, not necessarily the time that a server could read:

01. The House on the edge of the Earth of Hodgson WH (1908).
02. The Shadow Over Innsmouth of HP Lovecraft (1936).
03. The kings of the stars of Edmond Hamilton (1949).
04. Martian Chronicles, by Ray Bradbury (1950).
05. The Sword of Rhiannon of Leigh Brackett (1953).
06. Shambleau and other adventures of Norwest Smith of CL Moore (1953).
07. I Am Legend, Richard Matheson's (1954).
08. Nine Princes in Amber (and later) of Roger Zelazny (1970).
09. The Wars of George Lucas (1976).
10. On Stranger Tides, Tim Powers of (1987). Viewed

and sorted, it is clear that my tastes lean towards the fantasy genre, while it remains curious that since 1987 no book I have so much attention to it in the list.
Nothing, it's your turn to comment (here or via Facebook) or to retaliate by exposing your personal top ten essential works.

Northwest Territory Cabin Tent 14'

A bad place to get lost (005)

E l downhill stream meandered through a valley as long as idyllic. At another time could have sit back and enjoy the scenery, but not now running behind a psychopath suffering from bipolar disorder, and persecuted by the military and other factions who wanted to be mysterious at all costs with the contents of that bag that were transporting to God knows where. In fact, well thought out, everything was nothing idyllic. So far only had time to stop and reflect, as it had been stuck in all kinds of chases and shootouts, but now, amid the calm before the storm, could not help but turn over in my head a lot of each more intriguing enigmas: Where was the rest of humanity? And why almost all the objects and buildings around us seemed so old and worn? Somewhere in my head an insistent little voice insisted again and again: "Open your eyes and wake up", but the key to all this strange world is beyond me.
We had about forty-five minutes running and to my surprise, was holding the stretch. By now it should be lacking in encouragement and are vomiting the last meal eaten and did not remember, but I was rested and fit, able to follow and fifty miles more, if needed. My companion seemed as surprised as me. While maintaining a good pace was drenched in sweat and had to make strenuous efforts to keep up. Occasionally spiteful glances my way, not without envy that to deny it, made me feel a little uncomfortable.
- Want to take a break? - I asked, supportive, but only got to exchange a glare of hostility.
- Go from me and keep running.
- Yes, sir! - Cried mockingly, but I regretted it as soon as the words came out of my mouth. She spat at me, pursed his lips and made a valiant effort to leave me behind.
- I can not believe you did that!
- Oh, shut up!
The day seemed to be dark, or at least gave the impression although having less light and dim red sun that was kept in the same place as when I woke up. However, had not yet exhausted my quota of surprises of the day. For if a ship stranded in the middle of the road was not enough, now before my eyes what looked like the remains of a tank with the cover completely bored by the impact of large-caliber projectiles. To his left a rusty metal sign and gnawed by time warned: minefield - NO GO. I started slow, but my guide continued on, undaunted, so I mentally shrugged my shoulders and went on, praying that she knew what she was doing. A fleshless skeleton and wearing only the remains of an old uniform hanging on the open turret of the tank. His empty sockets as he went by me, his hand while swinging in a macabre gesture of derision. Those who greet you are already dead, I thought ironic.
A couple of miles later the stream flowed into a river of calm, dark waters over which floated a thick blanket of fog between which stood, alone, the remains of several buildings in different condition, covered with mud, rust and vines. Long ago this place should have been on the river, but something had changed the course of this or perhaps caused a sudden increase in the level water. The whole place seemed deserted and abandoned. The only visible remainder of civilization was an old pier next to a crumbling warehouse. Several boats were rocking, lazy in the shade of a huge stone wall full of bullet holes and spots of something that the same could be dried blood oxide. Over the whole surface could read dozens of entries in different languages \u200b\u200band font styles, some as intriguing as LOOK NO MORE HELL IS HERE or WHAT WILL YOU DO WHEN HE RETURNS? The girl stared at the wall, thinking, and then rummaged in his backpack until he found a spray can. After shaking, wrote about wall several words with a clear and elegant calligraphy: EVEN STILL ALIVE. They give. I said nothing, though I was dying to grilling him that he knew would be left without response.
- Do not stand there stunned. See if any of these motor functions.
- Who, me? - I asked, as if there was someone else besides the two of us - I have face riverboat pilot?
- For Hastur, I do not know what the hell you post. Stay here and watch - replied, putting the Glock in the hand of the passing of my hand, leaving behind a trail of perfume of violets. There was something unpleasant at the touch of the weapon, a sort of vague recollection sleepy that I got goose bumps, so I put it in my back pocket as he examined the place. What would have happened to people who lived there? I had no idea, but something told me it was concerned with bullet holes and dried blood stains on the wall. The world had changed while he slept, but did not remember much.
As fate deemed that it had given us much respite, some SUVs military side - similar to those that had eluded the hotel - appeared in the distance while approaching the dock at high speed. When only five hundred meters separated us vehicles fanned and began to spit types of uniform and armed to the teeth. One of them started barking orders and in response to another of the newcomers opened the tailgate of a vehicle and half a dozen hounds were ejected. They looked like a cross between a doberman and great white shark: they were very fast, overly large and had a mouth full of fangs long and sharp as razors. A cold sweat began to soak the back with the realization that came to me, as the hounds of war in Shakespeare.
- Are you asleep or what's wrong? Shoot! - My companion shouted behind me. As in dreams, I grabbed the Glock and pointed to appeared to be the leader. However, I could not decide to pull the trigger. He had a strange sense of deja vu, as if she had lived through this stage before and things were not developing in the right way. And then I crazy. I lowered the gun and left hand forward, palm extended, screamed aloud
- Good Dog! Good Dog! Sit!
Although he could not see her, I could imagine the look of surprise of the young. He probably thought I had gone completely mad, and go you know if would not be right, because those critters were getting closer and licking satisfaction. And just then, when it was almost over, the dogs stopped, and their leader was still looking at me, confused, as if they did not know if I was edible or not. After a few seconds seemed to take a decision and to my amazement (and my companion) those beasts came to lick my hand as tame as kittens. However, I barely had time to savor my victory, because the military did not expect to recover from the surprise firing in our direction. A bullet grazed the cheek so close I could feel the wind blow that caused the move. My hand was still holding the Glock, but for some reason, shoot a human being more like me right to do about a dog.
- Come on, come here! - Reiterated the girl from the deck of one of the motor. It seemed a good idea, so I turned around and jumped into the boat the more bullets were buzzing around me. Despite the hail of bullets, my companion stood there unmoved, extending his hand toward me to give him back the Glock. It gave from the floor and she caught it right away by taking away the position of an expert marksman, body tilted to provide the lowest possible target, and the gun held in both hands at eye level. The soldier opened fire and collapsed to the nearest leaky head. He fired three times and hit their target with each bullet, forcing survivors to lie to ground or seek refuge. From my position had a splendid view of her legs and for a moment I forgot where I was, admiring the way the muscles of your buttocks is marked under the thick fabric of his pants.
- Boot this pileup and get us out of here! - Said, while pulling the trigger. It was another good idea, so he crawls up the wheel and pulling his hand cautiously pressed the button. Nothing happened, and for a moment I feared that pileup that would leave us lying on the worst possible time, but Fortunately, the engine finally came to life with a hearty roar.
- Works! - I tried to shout above the din of gunfire and horsepower, but my companion was too busy responding to fire and to listen to me. I pushed full throttle and the motor sprang forward, breaking the rotten ropes that held the landing. Therein, a burst of bullets hit the control panel. Several shards of glass flew through the air crashing my eyes for very little, while warm, thick liquid (which I took to be oil) splashed my face. I let out a curse and headed downstream, letting the motor is more and more speed moving away from the shooting.
- Okay, we're out. Where do we go? - I asked, without response. Intrigued, I ventured to turn his head to see what the hell happened. The girl was standing at the rail with his right hand hanging over the inert body. At that moment his hand dropped the Glock, which bounced off the wooden floor with a thud. Began to turn in my direction very slowly, like slow motion, and saw the ugly hole that had opened up a shell on top of his head above his right eye, which flowed at intervals a thick stream of blood. With a feeling of nausea I realized that I had soaked substance from head to toe was not oil. Part of me wanted to run towards it, hold it and do something, anything. But my feet seemed glued to the floor and some more cool and rational knew it was too late. His eyes moved jerkily as if his brain (or what was left of it) did not know where to focus. He opened his mouth in an effort to say something, perhaps a final insult, but his legs failed him and collapsed on deck like a puppet to which he had cut all the strings at once. And I stood there alone, down the river, not knowing where to go or what the hell was I supposed to do with that damned briefcase.

(Will it continue?)

denounce the agreement signed MARITIME Candina - Transfennica. TRIAL POSTPONED

As everyone will know on March 9 Joint Commission was signed in the new agreement to serve on ships Candina Maritime Company Transfenncia. (Open Agreement) .

do not know which is the reason why in the document appears as the date of signature on 9 February instead of March 9. We think it was a simple mistake. Hopefully was just that.

The AGREEMENT constitutes a change in working conditions and hours of all staff workers and Maritime APIE Bilboestiba Candina.

this AGREEMENT, as has been agreed and signed, we understand that it is illegal for being the Convention denounced and completed his term in December 2010, and other irregularities have been committed and we have attached in the complaint that we have done.

addition, whether legal or not the agreements, procedures to communicate Bilboestiba writing (open document) that should comply with the law, and report in a timely manner to all affected employees of the beginning of these new times (according to the Workers' Statute 30 days), because it implies a substantial change in working conditions.

As you can see once again, here is met or not the Act and the Convention, depending on whether their interests are favored.

The agreement was signed on March 9 and put a sign on the bulletin boards on March 16 that reports that the new schedules will begin from March 21. Just 12 days after its signing! and without informing all workers of this amendment letter, as it should have done.

For all these reasons we proceeded to lodge a complaint against the agreement signed and for which the Labour Relations Board has set a date for mediation for the upcoming April 8 at 12 pm ( Open Document) .

In the event that the signatories will ratify his signature, we will submit an application in court.

Michelle Jenner, Person of the Year

If you recently played to transform this great character actress in a cover of a comic Jim Steranko ( Michelle Jenner, Agent of SHIELD ) on this occasion I used Photoshop to turn it into Person of the Year for the sole TIME magazine . Okay, today is only my imagination but in the future, who knows? Since then, she deserves it.

NOTE: I performed the installation from an original photograph by Fernando Vazquez Morago for Ragazza magazine February 2011.

New collaboration Foresight: 'Mutiny' by Mike Resnick

Resnick I discovered back in the distant year 1986 when Martínez Roca editorial published his novel germ as number 99 of his beloved collection Super Fiction (1). However, I must admit that this ironic revision of the myth of Judeo-Christian Messiah futuristic key is not convinced (although I still have in my library, from which it follows that not upset me at all) by what could have been ignore the author if my good friend Alfredo Lara I had not insisted that read The dark lady (2). This would follow Santiago (3), and much later the anthology new and old Dreams (4), in addition to delivery of the fictionalized adventures of the heroine Lara Croft video games (5).
At this point in the film strike say I'm a big fan of Mike Resnick , which has already spent an entry in this souk back in April 2009 on the occasion of the publication of the anthology above. Mutiny
a title is doubly interesting because, first, because it is the first book of Resnick that appears in our stores from the distant year 2006, and second, because it represents the author's foray into a field (the science fiction military court) that there was hardly discussed earlier, except for his novel "Galactica Discovers Earth franchise 1982. For those who want to know more, here are the direct link to the review in Foresight:

Steam Paddle Boat For Sale

Norm Breyfogle's Batman, Planet New collaboration

is now in bookstores the first of five volumes Comics Metro dedicated to collect all the interesting work of this artist-centered universe of Lord of the Night.
recognize that the particular view Breyfogle gave us at the time of this comic icon fascinates me, maybe not as much now as then, when one was young and impressionable, but still be read with pleasure, thanks - in large part - the excellent scripts Alan Grant, in addition to the extra plus of nostalgia that gives the passage of time and memories of a happier and more naive.
Breyfogle was one of the pillars the core editorial line of Batman comics after I Year of Miller & Mazzuchelli (1987). For nearly a decade since the late eighties until well into the nineties, our artist illustrated dozens of comics from the Lord of the Night with the usual complicity Alan Grant and timely collaboration of other writers as Mike W. Barr, Mary J. Duffy or Denny O'Neil. And although the bulk of its production is centered in the header Detective Comics, its popularity led him to draw too many specific numbers, prestige (as Batman: abduction 1998) or Graphic Novels as The Birth of Evil (1992).
Breyfogle was not a perfect artist, but effective and very colorful. As Rob Liefeld , belongs to that class of artists able to mask its flaws and enhance its strengths with a dynamic visual style and appeal. The Lord of the Night of Breyfogle drinks from many sources (The Batman has some of the essential mystery of Kane , the majesty of Adams, Miller musculature or stiffness anatomical Ross Andru, including other references memorable) that the artist is able to assimilate so harmoniously to deliver the best graphic interpretations of the character. Norm Breyfogle
is also a mystery. After several years of success and intense professional activity disappeared almost without trace to the point that it is little more than a stranger to the new generations of readers who can only know (and appreciate) their job through reissues as we now occupies. Is to applaud, then, the editorial initiative to rescue the work of this artist, one of the highlights of his time and I remember best has left all who had occasion to enjoy it at the time.
This first installment (of five) can recover their initial collaborations with the writers Alan Grant and John Wagner in Detective Comics series which became a classic reference in the late eighties. It also includes, by way of preface, two other previous work with Mary Jo Duffy ("Sole Survivor", DC No. 582) and Mike W. Barr ("The Crime Doctor's Crimson clinic", DC 579). As anecdotal detail, this latter includes black and white after failing to have the publisher of the original color.

OVERVIEW:

- Title: Norm Breyfogle Batman Vol 1 (of 5).
- Author: Norm Breyfogle plus several writers.
- Editorial: Planeta DeAgostini.
- Format: 340 pages approx. full color hardcover and 26x17, 5 cm.
